Hello! My name is Kate Buckley, and I am excited to be in Townsend as the proud new owner of Myokinetic Restoration Therapies, LLC. I have been in practice for 10 years, first as a licensed massage therapist and then later also as a Structural Integration Practitioner.

The word “myokinetic” means to create motion and movement in muscles and soft tissue. With years of experience and training, I apply a combination of modalities during my sessions to provide lasting relief for injury recovery, correcting postural issues, or just focusing on alleviating chronic pain.

The primary techniques I use in my work are from Structural Integration — including the Rolf Method of the 10 Series — as well as trigger point therapy, deep tissue, myofascial release, manual lymphatic drainage, sports massage, and cupping.

I have also learned different types of pain mitigation and movement therapies taught via RockTape training, including:

—Functional Movement Therapy (a.k.a. Active Range of Motion stretches and positioning);

—RockFloss (a.k.a. Compression Band Therapy);

—RockPods (a type of fascial-based cupping);

—RockTape (kinesiotaping for both injury recovery and postural correction); and

—IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization).

My style of practice is for those who are looking for a therapeutic, clinical, and rehabilitative therapy.

The goal I have for every client is to provide a way for them to improve the overall functionality of their body, first by eradicating compensation patterns that are creating pain and dysfunction, as this will then allow them the ability to utilize full range of motion and proper body mechanics—all without pain.

I begin sessions by discussing with clients what will best suit their needs, so please don't worry that what I have listed is my go-to “one size fits all” treatment plan! I will make sure to explain everything that I am doing as we go, describing how each type of therapy is applicable for your particular issue.

My rates are all-inclusive, meaning I do not charge extra for any of the types of work I do, with the sole exception of the 10 Series as it is a specialized package.
